the billyhawks

Jonathan Lee Pickens plays guitar, sings, and writes great original songs that The Billyhawks love to play. He spent several years writing on Music Row in Nashville.

If there’s a musical instrument Tim Martin can’t play, we haven’t discovered it yet. Tim’s a fabulous lead guitar player and singer with deep roots in Southern Rock from his Macon, Georgia upbringing.

Johnny Gallegos lays down some of the deepest grooves you’ll ever hear on the bass. His roots in rock and slap/funk bass adds lots of sparkle to The Billyhawks sound.

Don Grieser plays mandolin, sings, and writes some songs for The Billyhawks. His mandolin playing has roots in the bluegrass tradition, but he can jam to some blues too.

Walker Lee Pickens plays drums. When you combine his groove with the bass of Johnny Gallegos, you have a rhythm section that’s second to none. His percussion work is tasteful and precise.
